Championship Weekend...

Here are the predictions for the games:

New England: 27
Pittsburgh:10

Why? Because Ben Roethlisberger is absolutely pumped up to all hell. New England will show him and the Steelers what it takes to beat a champion, and why the Steelers don't have it...At least 1, if not 2 defensive touchdowns, I'll say Randall Gay will have one, with Tedy Bruschi having at least on ridiculous sack on Ben-Gay.

Atlanta: 23
Philadelphia: 21

Philly won't be able to stop Vick...their LB's don't have the speed to hang with him. Look for over 100 rushing yards from Vick and a Buffalo Bills like strak for the Iggles.

Like an injection

It's kind of like a shot. You know for hours and hours that it is coming, and there's no way you can avoid it. You know it's what is necessary, but it still stings a bit. It heals up in a couple of days though, so I'm not too worried. Things just feel a little uncomfortable right now. I figure it'll go away eventually, just push it to the back of my mind, where it eventually will die out. Not like I haven't been through these things before, this ain't shit to me. I just gotta go out and get things done on my own. Unfortunately, I can't really expound upon what all this means, but it's just funny what you learn about people over the course of a long time, what happens behind your back, especially when you have a good idea as to which people advocated which things. Now I'm kind of in a bind, as I really needed to hear certain things earlier...well, I'm sure it'll all work out...I figure it typically does...typically...and to think I thought otherwise...no that's not right...I hoped otherwise. I'd been sensing this for a while. At least now I know exactly where I stand. Took too long, but better to know now than at a time at which I would have been completely screwed. And it's not like it's a situation I can easily ignore...it'll be in my face pretty often. It doesn't require a confrontation though, it ain't that serious. I really just needed to vent on here, I guess that's what these things are for, and I feel better...and no hard feelings...and no apologies necessary...but don't try and buddy up to me and act like nothing's changed, this does affect me, and I figure you know it...I'm more distressed by some than others. Well, enough of the ambiguity, I'm out.

Liquored up kicker strikes again

Yeah. Mike Vanderjagt is just a complete moron. You're a KICKER! A KICKER! A KICKER WHO DOESN'T EVEN KICK OFF!!! There's no reason to incite the defending superbowl champions, especially when you're the reason you lost to them earlier in the year. They could be playing the game in the RCA Dome instead of Foxboro, but Vanderjagt missed the FG that would have given them that win. The Colts were my pick to win it at the beginning of the year, but it's not good to win in spite of a player. I hope they Pats block a kick and he takes a bone-jarring block from Willie McGinest. Maybe it'll break his jaw so he can't say any more dumb shit.

Well, just rumblings right now...

It seems to me that our beloved school 20 miles to the northeast could be in some MAJOR trouble. Rumors that the NC State basketball team could be point shaving have appeared on a number of internet message boards. The perpetrator, Julius Hodge? Levi Watkins? Ilian Evtimov? There are a number of players that it could have been. Now at the beginning, I completely disregarded this rumor, and thought there was no way that it could be true, but when you think about it, look at Herb Sendek's offense, and how slow they run, it becomes crazy how they lose some of the leads they lose. 26 points to Duke. 24 to Maryland. 12 to Vandy in the last 2 minutes. All with some slowdown bullshit modified Princeton offense. And it usually falls on one player making mistakes...I still doubt it, but upon hearing that the FBI has been investigating them for games played over a year ago...they do lose a lot of games they're not supposed to, looking like a JV high school team in losing those...crazy to think...but it's definitely in the realm of possibilities...and besides, if its not true, its still embarassing, as they've played poorly enough for them to be considered point shavers...NNNNNNCCCCCSTAAAATE...NCSTATE!

So I Haven't Posted In A Month...Sue Me...

Yeah, a whole bunch of crap has happened in a month, but I choose to focus on something unrelated to all of that stuff. I choose to focus on the television show Viva La Bam. I've been watching the show pretty regularly now, basically whenever it shows up on MTV, which is often. The sole reason I bother to tune in, however, is the massive man known as Don Vito. Vito is absolutely hilarious, and keeps me entertained to the fullest. I was thinking about this the other day, and it's just sad that someone who is college educated like myself, is that entertained by the exploits of an overweight idiot like Vito. I love when they subtitle him. Tis a very entertaining bit. Now this brings me to the point of this post...

The show in itself is basically nothing but idiots destroying stuff. And not your normal, run of the mill idiots, rich, skateboarder, don't care about the consequences of their actions idiots. Since MTV must be willing to replace basically anything they break, I'm sure that they are basically open to ruining whatever they want. Is this really what people should consider as entertainment. In one show I watched, these guys destroyed a hummer, a hotel suite, an expensive motorcycle, and all of their dignity. All but one of these will be replaced by MTV. However, I still watch...intently...for the next moment that fat Don Vito shows up. I personally don't see exactly why these people subject themselves to this torture from their relatives...I'd probably have to get a hell of a lot more money than they're probably getting to subject myself to what they go through, maybe they're just masochists...who knows. But, anyways, as long as they continue to subtitle Don Vito, I'll be tuning in...and still be appalled/weirded out by the rest of the stuff they do on that show...
